How Your Destiny Number Is Calculated

Your Destiny Number is calculated by converting each letter in your full birth name to its corresponding number value, then reducing the sum to a single digit (or in some cases, a master number).

For example, let's calculate the Destiny Number for "JOHN SMITH":

  1. J = 1, O = 6, H = 8, N = 5 → JOHN = 1 + 6 + 8 + 5 = 20
  2. S = 1, M = 4, I = 9, T = 2, H = 8 → SMITH = 1 + 4 + 9 + 2 + 8 = 24
  3. Add the values: 20 + 24 = 44
  4. Reduce to a single digit: 4 + 4 = 8

In this example, the Destiny Number is 8.

Special Cases: Master Numbers

In numerology, 11, 22, and 33 are considered "master numbers" and are not reduced further. If your Destiny Number calculation results in 11, 22, or 33, we keep these as they are, as they carry special significance.
